Put your new website on your domain at InCom Real Estate
About 10 minutes of your time. InCom changes three settings for you when you ask. Your domain stays where it is and your email keeps working. Your panel checks each setting as it changes.
InCom keeps your domain's settings on its own servers, and there is no page where you change them yourself: InCom's support team makes the change for you. So you do not sign in anywhere. You send InCom one short email, and we give you the words to send below. You need your site's address from the Domain tab of your panel.
The three settings
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | www | your site's address — copy it from the Domain tab of your panel |
| A | @ | 137.66.50.77 |
| AAAA | @ | 2a09:8280:1:0:0:1a0:bb93:0 |
@ means the domain itself; some screens call it the "host" or leave it blank. Leave every other setting exactly as it is: your email depends on them.
Step by step
Open the Domain tab in your panel
Open your panel and click the Domain tab. Keep it open: you copy your site's address from there in a moment. The other two values are in the table above.
Start an email to InCom
Start a new email to [email protected]. That is the address InCom's own help page gives for domain changes. Send it from the email address InCom knows you by, so they can see it is you. As the subject, write: Please change three DNS records for my domain.
Copy this message into it
Copy the message below into your email, and put your domain where it says [your domain]:
Hello InCom team,
Please change three DNS records for my domain [your domain]:
1. The www record: type CNAME, name www, value [paste your site's address].
2. The A record for the domain itself (@): value [paste the A value]. Please remove any other A records for @.
3. The AAAA record for the domain itself (@): add it with value [paste the AAAA value].
Please leave the email records (MX and TXT) and the nameservers exactly as they are.
Thank you,
[your name]Paste in the three values
Replace each part in square brackets. For your site's address, copy it from the Domain tab of your panel. For the A value and the AAAA value, copy them from the table above. Copy and paste them, letter for letter. Then put your name at the end and send the email.
Wait for InCom's answer
InCom makes the change and writes back to you. No answer after a working day? Call InCom: 1 866-883-8951 in the USA, or 416-477-2860 in Canada, and say you sent an email asking for three DNS records to be changed.
Check it in your panel
Once InCom says it is done, open the Domain tab in your panel and click Check my settings again. Each setting says done once the internet sees it, often within an hour of InCom's change. We email you the moment your new site shows on your domain.
Good to know
Your InCom website stops showing on your domain once the records change.
InCom does not need any of your passwords for this. Do not put a password in the email.
If InCom writes back that they cannot add the AAAA record, ask in your panel's Help tab. One TXT record does the same job, and we tell you exactly what to send InCom.
Your email keeps working: the message asks InCom to leave the MX and TXT records and the nameservers as they are. Do not ask InCom to move your domain or change its nameservers.
Stuck, or not sure?
Open the Help tab in your panel and write what you see, in your own words. We answer within minutes and walk you through it.
Changed your mind? Your panel keeps today's settings. Email them to InCom the same way and ask InCom to put them back. Your InCom website returns, usually within an hour of their change.
